About

Dr. Hamidi has recently made California her new home after more than 25 years of dedicated work in Toronto, Canada. Her diverse experience spans both hospital settings and private practice. Early on, she specialized in bipolar disorder treatment at the University of Toronto School of Medicine and quickly advanced her career, becoming the Head of the Day Hospital Program at Canada’s largest psychiatric hospital, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).

Alongside her clinical and academic expertise, Dr. Hamidi pursued deep psychoanalytic training at the renowned Toronto Psychoanalytic Institute. Passionate about exploring innovative treatment options, she became an early adopter of ketamine therapy in 2019. Since then, Her education has expanded to include advanced Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) with Dr. Phil Wolfson’s team, Somatic Experiencing techniques from Dr. Peter Levine’s institute, and MDMA-assisted psychotherapy training with MAPS.

A pioneer in her field, Dr. Hamidi is the first Canadian physician to administer MDMA safely in a community setting through the Special Access Program. She was a key contributor in creating the KATA guidelines for KAP, which are endorsed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

Dr. Hamidi runs a boutique, personalized practice in Los Angeles, where she partners with patients to address a range of issues, including medication sensitivities, perimenopausal mood shifts, adult ADHD, trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, and life transitions. Her fresh approach blends proven scientific methods with creative, mindful, Eastern-influenced philosophies. This multimodal approach is inspired by the emerging field of psychedelic medicine, where healing is seen as a journey of both body and soul.

Dr. Hamidi invites her patients to join her on a path defined by passion, precision, and presence. She believes that when both doctor and patient bring willingness and courage, new and transformative pathways to healing naturally unfold.

"What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation."
